A driver was placed under arrest in Phoenix on Wednesday, October 22nd after she allegedly drove in the wrong direction on Interstate 10 for seven miles before causing a head-on collision the previous Friday.

A driver was placed under arrest in Phoenix on Wednesday, October 22nd after she allegedly drove in the wrong direction on Interstate 10 for seven miles before causing a head-on collision the previous Friday. The driver has been identified as 28-year-old Dominique Janelle Lavette Goodmond. Four people, including Goodmond, were taken to a local hospital with serious to critical injuries.

The crash occurred around 2 a.m. Friday morning. Authorities believe she had been driving under the influence of alcohol. Goodmond was traveling west on eastbound Interstate 10 before crashing head-on into another vehicle near 7th Avenue. Three other vehicles became involved in the crash by striking the crashed vehicles or debris.

Goodmond was released from the hospital Wednesday, which was when she was arrested on numerous charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with serious physical injury, criminal damage, and endangerment.
