Avastin
Avastin, a breast cancer drug, has had its approval by the Food and Drug Administration revoked. The world's best selling cancer drug lost its approval after studies show there is no proof that Avastin extends lives or offers enough temporary benefits to outweigh dangerous side effects, such as heart failure.
Analyzing data from five clinical trials, 1.6% of women taking Avastin developed congestive heart failure. Only .4% of women taking a placebo developed congestive heart failure. In an interview, the lead researcher in the analysis noted that while overall the risk is small, it is statistically significant. If you or a loved one has experienced heart failure while taking Avastin, contact The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker. You may be entitled to compensation.
