Quicken Loans Refunds
Many consumers attempting to refinance have made complaints against Quicken Loans. These consumers have alleged that Quicken is mishandling their deposits after beginning the refinance process. Before beginning the loan application process, Quicken requires a $500 deposit, which would be applied towards the cost of refinancing. After the deposit is processed, Quicken presents the potential customer with an appraisal and an interest rate offer.
In a growing number of cases, consumers discover that the appraisal figure is much lower than expected or the interest rate offer is higher than expected. When given these unexpected numbers, the consumer may decide not to proceed with the refinancing offer through Quicken and requests a refund of the $500 deposit. Unfortunately, Quicken often refuses to issue any refund.
Numerous consumers have complained very loudly about this practice. Consumers have a reasonable expectation to receive a refund when the loan process is terminated at such an early stage. The Law Offices of Larry H. Parker is currently investigating possible action on behalf of consumers affected by the refusal of Quicken Loans to issue these refunds.
