A Massachusetts jury has ruled against a tobacco company, awarding $71 million in compensatory damage to the son and estate of a woman who died of lung cancer. Willie Evans, the deceased's son, alleged that Lorillard Tobacco Company gave his mother free cigarettes as a child.
