Sulzer Hip Implants

New! The Big Case Consortium is in the process of settling 42 Sulzer Hip Replacement cases.

Sulzer Medica has recalled certain manufacturing lots of its Inter-Op Acetabular Shells for hip implants sold primarily in the United States after October 1999 with a small number of lots sold after July 1997. During recent testing of its Inter-Op Acetabular maufacturing process a low percentage of Acetabular components evidenced a slight residue of a lubricant on the exterior surface of the implant shell. This may ause and has caused loosening of the shell from the tissue wall.

Approximately 17,000 products from the effected lots have been implanted with approximately 90% of them in the United States.

If you had a hip implant during this period and believe that you may have been damaged by this defective product and/or simply wish to request furhter information on your potential rights, please submit the Product Liability Form on this site. Click here.

The Big Case Consortium is evaluating individual actions in addition to the preparation for filing of a class action on behalf of implant victims.
