Baycol™
Baycol™ is a a prescription medication used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood by blocking the formation of cholesterol. As of August 8, 2001, Bayer Pharmaceutical Division voluntarily withdrew Baycol™ (cerivastatin) from the U.S. market because of reports of sometimes fatal muscle damage caused by the drug.
